Mainly because it is right. Scott remembers those days when TV and radio stations would actually sign off the air. They would play the Star Spangled Banner twice a day - when signing on and when signing off. Scott even did that early in his career at radio stations. Stations did it not because it was an FCC requirement - they did it because it seemed the right thing to do.

Stations don't sign on and off anymore. Most are licensed to operate 24-hours a day. So Scott & Sadie want to play the Star Spangled Banner once a day - 1. Because it doesn't get that airplay anymore, and 2. Just because it seems the right thing to do.
